We will welcome and hear from our valued guest speaker, Jill Carr-Harris, followed by a review of VOW’s board activities, financial report, staff reports, resolutions, nominations, and upcoming campaigns.
Jill Carr-Harris teaches peace education, Gandhian Nonviolence, and is a recipient of VOW's Ursula Franklin Award. Jill has worked on environment and land issues, poverty reduction, and gender equity for several decades. She has supported the development of women leaders for advocacy on land and gender rights and has co-organized long marches with as many as 50,000 on the road for a month at a time with the organization Ekta Parishad. This work has empowered landless, tribal and marginalized people in India.
All members and supporters welcome! We encourage you to invite a friend!
The VOW AGM is open to anyone to attend. For those who attend in-person, refreshments will be served.
